Efficient. Comfortable. Built for Every Property.
At Smart Renewables & Heating, we design and install high-performance underfloor water heating systems for new builds, renovations, and retrofit projects. Whether you're installing a new floor or upgrading an existing heating system, we offer a solution to suit your property and budget.
Underfloor heating provides even heat distribution, improved energy efficiency, and frees up valuable wall space by removing the need for traditional radiators. Our experienced team will recommend the most suitable system based on your floor construction and project requirements.
Ideal for New Builds & Major Renovations
An in-screed underfloor heating system is installed directly onto insulation before being covered with a sand and cement or liquid screed. The screed acts as a thermal mass, storing and evenly distributing heat throughout the floor.
This is one of the most efficient and durable underfloor heating systems available, delivering consistent comfort for years to come.
The Perfect Retrofit Solution
Overlay systems are designed for properties where digging up the existing floor isn't practical. Special low-profile insulated panels are fitted directly over the existing subfloor, allowing heating pipes to be installed with minimal increase in floor height.
Overlay systems provide all the comfort and efficiency of wet underfloor heating while avoiding major structural work.
Designed for Suspended Timber Floors
In-joist underfloor heating is installed between existing timber floor joists, making it an excellent choice for upstairs floors and traditional suspended timber ground floors.
Heat diffusion plates are fitted between the joists to spread warmth evenly across the floor.
This system is particularly popular for period properties and homes where preserving existing floor levels is essential.
Enhanced Performance for Timber Floors
The biscuit screed system combines traditional in-joist underfloor heating with specially designed biscuit screed panels that improve heat transfer and provide a more solid floor construction.
This innovative solution increases thermal performance while maintaining the benefits of an in-joist installation.
This system delivers the comfort of screeded underfloor heating while remaining suitable for suspended timber floor constructions.
Wet underfloor heating circulates warm water through pipes beneath your floor, creating an even, comfortable temperature throughout your home.
Our systems are compatible with a wide range of floor coverings, including:
